Description
Myuria WIP
I was hoping to get more WIP photos of this project, but alas, being short on time isn't conducive to picking up the camera and stopping work to take photos.
These are photos of the bra and gauntlet pieces. They are made out of veg tanned leather. I don't remember the thicknesses I used, but the bra cups are noticeably thinner than the rest of the outfit pieces. To get the rounded cup shape, I soaked the leather, then pinned it into place on my mannequin.
I used a grooving tool (generally used to make grooves for stitching) to do all of the tooling. I like the thicker line the grooving tool provides, which worked out well because there are numerous places on the armor that needed very thin lines to be different colors. Filling in those grooves with a paint pen later worked out pretty well.
This is my first really complex leather project.
