In the spirit of trying new things, I will be offering some of my patterns for sale. The process it takes to re-trace these to be large-format-copy ready takes a while, so I won't offer all my patterns. At this time, here is what I can make available:
Lightning (sleeveless jacket, skirt, gun bag, shoe templates, gloves, cape holder. belt, fabric swatches)
Extra small (not recommended for bust or hip size larger than 36")
$45.00
Edit: After getting the Lightning master pattern ready, it ended up taking far more paper than I planned for, hence the copying cost is higher than I expected, hence the adjusted price above.
Patterns are available only in the sizes listed. They will come on a single sheet, folded up and shipped in an 8x11 envelope. The prices above include shipping anywhere within the US. International customers please email me directly for a shipping estimate.
So, here is how this first run will work. I will take pre-orders for any of these patterns and at the end of the month, I will make one run to the copiers. If you're interested or have questions before you buy, email gstqfashions@gmail.com with "<INSERT CHARCTER NAME HERE> PATTERNS" as your subject.
Questions I expect to get and some answers:
1. Can you offer these in different sizes?
No, I don't have the time to re-size any of these. What you see available is what you get.
2. Can I buy a pattern for a costume you don't have listed?
No, unfortunately I won't be offering all my patterns for sale. I have chosen the above listed ones because they can fit on to a single large format sheet and are simple enough that I can still easily provide "tech support" for construction questions.
3. Why are you charging these prices?
I need to make it worth my time to re-trace and re-format these so that other people can understand and use them. I also need to take into account the time it takes to get all of these copied, packed up, and sent out to everyone. If I just charged the cost of copying plus shipping, I'd break even and I've lost many, many hours that I could've spent working. So, in essence, I'd actually lose money. Remember, this is how I make my living!
4. I bought a pattern and I'm having trouble putting my garment together. Can you help?
I can certainly help within reason. I can't post an exact step-by-step of how I put each garment together, but there will be labels and notes on the pattern pieces indicating the order in which they should be sewn. Keep in mind I'm expecting that the buyer already has some moderate sewing experience.
